[Abilene, Kansas – October 31, 2023] Abilene Golf and Fitness is excited to announce the grand opening of our newest addition to our facility – Skeet shooting! 

Located at 1705 Country Club Lane, Abilene, KS 67410, our new Skeet Shooting range is now open to the public. This state-of-the-art facility features top-of-the-line equipment and a beautiful outdoor setting for an unforgettable shooting experience.

We offer two popular shotgun sports that involve shooting clay targets being launched into the air at different angles. The sport requires patience, focus, and precision – making it a challenging yet exhilarating activity for people of all ages.

“We are thrilled to offer this new experience at Abilene Golf & Fitness,” said Brian Slaughter, owner of the facility. “Skeet Shooting offers a great activity that not only promotes hand-eye coordination but also provides a fun way to spend time with family and friends.”

The skeet field consists of eight stations arranged in a half-circle, while the trap involves five stations placed in an arc. Each shooter takes turns going through each station as they aim at clay targets flying through the air.

To ensure safety on the range, Abilene Golf & Fitness has trained range officers on-site who will guide participants through proper handling of firearms and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
